Generalized Active Power Flow Controller for Multiactive Bridge DC–DC Converters With Minimum-Current-Point-Tracking Algorithm

This article proposes a new active power flow controller for dc–dc multiactive bridge (MAB) converters with minimum current point tracking (MCPT) to minimize conductive losses. Unlike recent efforts in this area, the proposed does not require look-up table implementation nor complex nonlinear converter modeling and is circuit parameter dependent. The control scheme also generalized MAB any number of ports derived per unit form enable standard buck/boost/unity-gain operating modes. MCPT algorithm based on an innovative adaptive perturb observe (MCP) characteristic plane. MCP tracked while regulation simultaneously achieved phase shift decoupler direct individual port power. Detailed design procedure presented extensive simulation carried out validate effectiveness closed loop controller. Experimental provided substantiate results.
